"Tayen is a smaller wolf, though close to average in weight and height to most female wolves her age. She has a stockier build, but lovely muscles along her legs showing she has experience in endurance and hunting. Tayen is very fluffy and her cheeks curl and caress her face is a lovely manner. This darker coated she-wolf has larger feet and a lower held head and thus has a submissive look to her. She is completely deaf but you can't tell by her appearance. She is a lovely black and cream wolf with black and brown markings on her face, back and tail. She has lovely eyes that reflect the orange of a flame. "

{Determined}: With her disability, Tayen feels she is treated differently. Whether she is looked at as a weakling, another mouth to feed or a damsel in distress, she feels that to be respected, one must work hard to earn it. Tayen is a determined soul. Some consider her stubborn or daft for her stoic and stone like personality. She refuses to budge from her decisions and beliefs. It is hard to get her to change her mind if not impossible. She is determined to prove her worth and to reach high goals even with her disability. She just wants to be treated as an equal.

{Gentle}: Despite being a pretty stand offish character, Tayen is a gentle and romantic at heart. She loves star gazing, rolling in flowers, smelling the breeze on the moors and taking walks in the twilight, but she doesn't say so or admit that she does. Like a Big Cherry, she has a tough outter shell covers the soft gooie center of this lovely she-wolf. It takes real effort to break down her walls. But once you do, she will love you, fight for you, and cherish you like no other. She loves unconditionally; she just doesn't know it yet.

{Reserved}: Being raised the way she was, Tayen has grown distant to other wolves. She loves her solitude as much as she likes the company of others. She prefers her own free time since she doesn't feel like she has to be trying to understand what someone is saying all the time, but she also likes just the company of others. She prefers to keep strangers, friends, and enemies all in the same place. Always a few feet away from her true feelings and thoughts. Tayen feels there is no time for softness in this world. The world has no mercy for those not willing to fight for their place in it.

{Motherly}: Now that Tayen has a family she has blossomed into quite the loving and protective mother. She wasn't sure about her ability to take care of her children, but now that they have arrived she has really grown into a mother figure she was meant to be. She is very doting and gentle with her children, and has become much for friendly and welcoming to her other pack members!

{Quiet}: Now, most think Tayen is mute along with being deaf. This isn't entirely true. She just chooses not to speak. Being deaf for a majority of her life, she has lost the ability to speak the same way we do. Like anyone with a deafness, she has a bit of a speak impediment/lisp/cotton mouth way of speaking. She doesn't remember voices and words as well as she remembers the sounds of nature. She will mostly be mute unless she has to speak. Please be patient with this trait. She is deaf after all. She needs others willing to take the time to understand her and help her understand them. She respect those who take the time to get to know her far more than those who lose patience to early.

{Lonely}: Tayen will never admit it out loud, but she is a lonely she-wolf. She misses the affection of a pack and the love of her parents. She spent a small amount of her time as a loner until she met Rutnik once again and was introduced to the new and improved Fellfang that we all know and love today. She is now finding herself in a large pack with little to no social skills. She feels lonely even in big crowds. She yearns for someone to understand her, not just tolerate her because shes a member of their pack. She hopes to grow closer to the wolves of Fellfang and hopefully other packs as well.

{Superstitious}: After the accident, Tayen's skull was slightly cracked. This resulted in her having small hallucinations and giving small juvenile Tayen the impression that she indeed can see dead people. Though Tayen isn't afraid of death herself, she however feels that she sees the dead/ghost/spirits. An old shaman she met long ago told her that she may be a prophet, able to see into the underworld and fortell the future. She has adopted the Fellfang religion and way of life well feeling that its main ideas and religion supports a bit of her own experiences with the supernatural. She has yet to tell anyone besides Molgra, the old shaman, and adopted parent, that she is able to see the other-side.

History:

Moonlight Drowns Out All But The Brightest Stars

Isi belonged to a nomadic group of wolves. She was a lovely she-wolf, known for her herbal knowledge and story telling. Though no story or medicine could help with the feeling in her heart as Chaska walked into her life. The large male wolf was quite charming. He brought his fair maiden a gift everyday. Isi was confused, unsure why such a strong wolf would care to treasure her in such a way. So when he brought her presents, he would ask, "Anything else I can get you?". And Isi often replied with a demand for some herbs, but one faithful night, she decided to reply differently. "Bring me the moon and the stars and I am yours."
Of course many are thinking, 'thats quite the demand, shes a rather materialistic ga'll.' but in this part of the land, such language was not uncommon. In fact, it meant she wanted a family- to bare a child.
"I need not gifts of courtship, I need that of only love and hope. Give me the stars in the sky, and I will share my heart with you and you alone."

With that, the two quickly made their mate-ship official and were inseparable. They tried endlessly for a litter, but to no avail. Isi's womb was a hostile territory, killing every pup they conceived. That was until an old shaman wolf told Isi to eat a little bit of this, drink a bit of that, do a few laps around the territory and she would bare a child under the night sky.
Within a few weeks time, Isi was stunned at the improvement. Not only was she having natural pregnancy symptoms but her belly was swollen and hard. She was finally going to have a child. It had taken her two years just to

When the time came, Chaska waited outside one of the healers dens, waiting to hear news of his mate and unborn child. The old shaman, Molgra popped her head out of the den.

"You may not meet your child, be weary, both are weak. Much work to be done, but can wait."

Chaska slipped into the den, blinking in the dark space. The only light was the full moon that glittered outside the den. It fell so beautifully on his little black pup.

"It's a girl." Isi smiled, licking her small child's head. Her beautiful daughter.

The two decided to name her Tayen. In their language, Tayen meant; "Born Under The Full Moon"

Roads Go Ever On

Tayen is an only child and thus spoiled as such.

For the first year of her life, everything was blissful.
She was loved by her parents who took good care of her and spoiled by the rest of her packs. She was a blessing on their pack.

All was good and great for some time. The world seemed to be all in order.

Our Path Is Laid

All was good in the world until Tayen became a juvenile. A fire caught aflame in the dry forest. It ate at every living thing it could catch like an unstoppable red god of war and death.

It split the pack, Tayen was nearly blinded by the fire as she tried to escape the flames by running deeper into the woods.

It was so simple. Something so unpredictable as a small trip. Tayen tripped over her own big paws, tumbling for a moment before a branch fell and smacked her head. She fell unconcious, laying there for some time.

Finally, Isa spotted the little pup in the flames and rescued her. She and Chaska were once again reunited with their daughter but now they were separated from their pack. The three found shelter as far as they could get to the lands.

When Tayen woke, her head ached like nothing she had ever known but what was even worse, was that she couldn't hear a thing. She couldn't even hear herself speak.

Molgra had seen this before. The little juvenile head was hit so hard that it damaged part of her skull and completely rendered her deaf.

Isa and Chaska were heartbroken that their chattery lively little pup would never hear them speak or hear the bird sing again.
Despite knowing she was deaf the two made it their goals to help their daughter survive in this unforgiving world.

They taught her to read lips, to speak and communicate with body language and small gestures, a wolfs way of sign language.

Tayen was learning so much and was starting to grow familiar with life being deaf. Though she was careful, she still ended up wondering far from home one evening and met a young male named Rutnik.

Rutnik was a younger wolf of Fellfang, back when they were nomadic and Story lead their ranks. The two got along swimmingly but Tayen returned home, though this wouldn't be the last time they meet.

Molgra has grown close to the little disabled pup. Tayen spoke of seeing halucinations and ghost. Molgra implanted the idea that she had the eyes of an angel for she could see into the afterlife. She may not hear like everyone else but she could see with eyes unclouded by hate, unclouded by mortality.

Tayen grew up thinking she could see dead people and though she wanted to tell her parents, she couldn't help but think that she may just be crazy.

So after everything was said and done, Isa, Chaska, Molgra and Tayen were the only ones left of their pack. An old crazy shaman, a weak and injured female, a deaf pup and a graying male wolf would somehow have to overcome the elements and the hardships of this world.

However, fate had different plans.

Home Is Behind, The World Ahead

When Tayen reached adulthood, she had become a closed off character. Her youthful spirit seemed dead, but she still was quite the adventurer. Isa grew ill and passed away. Winter came and with it Chaska was taken as well. All that was left was Tayen and Molgra.

For a year the two lived together without much issue. Tayen knew how to handle herself in a fight, and knew how to hunt big game without hearing, but as winter came again, Molgra did not survive and faded into memory just like her parents, just like her pack, and just like her hearing.

Tayen knew she could not survive alone. Every day she grew thinner and sickly and soon death would take her too. In a last attempt of survival, she wondered close to the Domain in search of a pack.

That's when she met Rutnik once more. The two remembered eachother from their youth and with little introduction, Rutnik asked her to join Fellfang. She was obviously withering away on her own, her best chance would be to join a pack as soon as possible.

Fellfang was her first option and with Rutnik at her side, the deaf and mostly mute she-wolf asked the new alpha of Fellfang, a black wolf named Fable, if she may join the pack. The new alpha accepted her, perhaps out of pity.

Tayen has her eyes set on a few goals. Move up her rank, find a purpose, give back to the pack that saved her, and earn the respect of her pack-mates. Currently residing in Fellfang, Tayen is learning their ways and adopting their religion with open arms.

Tomorrow Is Here

Tayen grew close to Rutnik and after tip toing around their feelings for one another for many seasons, the two decided to become mates. Of course it was a quite union as they did not make their Oath public until the Spirit Valda was drove from Fellfang and her chaos not longer controlled the Jarl. Announcing their engagement, the two were surprised to hear that Tayen was pregnant and would deliver soon after the end of such a dark era. Soon after Fable and Polaris had their pups, Tayen too gave birth to two little pups, the first born being her son Gaius, and the second a lovely little girl they named Corrin.

Ademache’s moon floated high above Havir territory that night. The sound of crickets and frogs echoed throughout the valley. A wolf stumbled out of the river, suffering from shock obviously.
She’s dead… oh Gods why… oh sweet Adetunji what have I done…
Quidel could still smell her on his fur, even after washing away the blood in the river. He couldn’t bare to clean himself with the blood of his lover caking on his fur. The dark wolf was still dripping with water when he entered the Havir main den. Most of the wolves were socializing and talking of the next full moon ceremony in which they will pay their respects to the Gods that watch them from above.
”I have damned my soul… oh Adetunji why did you take her away…” The male could feel the wetness of tears beginning to tug at his eyes once more. Before sunset, hardly hours ago, Quidel had found his secret lover disemboweled in the Havir outer territory. Oh his sweet lover and their unborn children, how would he ever forgive himself!? The male ignored the wolves that tried to greet him, and ignored them as he neared his Alpha’s den. He needed to tell Saurugol what sins and what rules he had shamed before Adetunji took more from him. The broken male waited outside the den and gently called to his Alpha,”Saurugol…?” his voice cracked, as if it knew what the Alpha would say. He would be ashamed of Quidel of course, for breaking their rules and not blessing their mateship and now, the Gods were shaming him with chaos to punish him.
”Saurugol- I’m sorry… I need to talk to you…” The dark wolf added, his orange eyes once filled with fire seemed to be nothing but dying embers in the dark of night.
